Over the weekend of March 28-29, past and present contestants shared the stage with John during a “Running of the Bulls” presentation by “Ganadaria Borges” at the Orangeville Agricultural Arena. It was yet another opportunity for the singers to present themselves to a whole new audience of people, all the while gaining that vital stage experience.
OMNI Television was also there filming for the programs “Canada Contacto” and “Vamos Ao Bailinho” so the chance for media exposure was once again presented. And most importantly, a good time was had by all!

Some contestants have accepted John’s invitations to perform outside of the contest. Many clubs understand how important it is to be able to showcase these talents and for giving the contestants new stages on which they can perform and polish their skills, we are very grateful. Fernando Correia Marques has let John know that as soon as John feels that a contestant is ready, he is prepared to have them open up some shows for him in Portugal. In preparation for performing in shows at such a prestigious level, this accumulation of stage experience is essential. On his visit to our rehearsal in February, Fernando stated that he believed a couple of people were “ready”. Those people, by the way, had never been onstage prior to entering the contest.
